Graduation Day

ok, seriously, my face is so not proportionate. It's really chubby and I don't Really like it. Hence, I have a good side. And, it's my left side. So when this photographer insisted that I take the picture on my right side... I almost murdered him. Hence, I have a fatty face to be hung on the wall to remind me never to gain more weight. ;(

Anyways.....

So ladies and gentleman,  with the start of this new blog, I have officially graduated as a dentist!!! applause!!!!

Now, I am Dr. Ng Wai Vern. Yes , i'm allowed to boast. Dental school was really difficult so to finally end it, I'm really happy! And really proud of myself. It is a big deal to me. I struggled alot to maintain my grades. I had nights when I did not sleep just to study for a class test. Failing was never an option for me. All my siblings graduated and they did well. Hence, I could never put my family in any sort of position where they had to explain to our relatives on why I din't make it .

I'm highly doubting as to whether I would do well now without my lecturers. But, for now, I'm glad I have finally graduated.

Graduation day was like marriage day for me, I don't know if anyone else felt as excited as me. I had a luggage bag with  with curling tongs of different sizes, styling sprays and all different kind of rollers. hair dryers and  a hair straightener in case i change my mind about styling my hair . In the end, i ended up just curling my hair.

I still have no idea how people can curl their hair on a daily basis and still look so salon perfect! I took almost an hour just to completely get my hair curled up and i think i wasted half a can of styling spray to hold it in position. It was quite frustrating.

All these pictures were taken by dad, the brother, and my friends. Thank you so much!

5 years of struggling as a dental student. The torture has finally ended. The endless cash flowing out each month to get new dental instruments is finally over. However, I am well aware of the difficulties I will encounter working as a dentist now, without my lecturers by my side. Its a scary thought. But if my seniors could survive, I could. Probably a little struggle here and there but in the end, it would all be alright!

Ursha and I came India together , stayed in the same room and now, we are finally over and done! TOGETHER! YIPPIE! Despite everything, we graduated together. We had misunderstandings along the way but in the end, she stood by me and I'm so happy throughout these 5 years, everything is still like the same day when we went India together. :) Here's to another decade of true friendship!

us 5 years ago, receiving our first year dental text books. We both had the same bob-ish hair cut.

Partners in crime. PIDC most loved couple. Everyone kept asking us why are we always together. Well, the reason is, we love each other so much we couldn't bear separating. Before starting any new procedures, we need each other to be around. Hence, life would be a little difficult when we get posted to a separate place. Love this hot lady so much! :) I'm glad we were partners for the entire 5 years of dental school. She sat with me from 1st year to 5th year doing all pre clinical works together. Before every case, Roshiny would always come over to my cubicle, and check up on me, and me, vice versa. Somehow, somewhat, a little tap on the shoulders from her was what I need to assure myself that what I'm doing is right.

Towards the end, friends help friends :) thanks for helping me through all the difficult pre clinical times sureen! In case you are wondering, I am helping her adjust her graduation cap. blardy thing kept dropping . I had to pin like one million pins on it. So when the photographer asked us to toss the hat/cap(?),  we all had to take like a minute to remove all the pins! Someone should seriously created a cap/hat(?)that stays on your head!

Mummy and Daddy. Thank you so much for everything  For supporting me these 5 years. I am where I am because of you two.

I love you my chicas!

I'm really grateful to my best friends who came all the way to Penang to attend my convocation! :) I felt bad cause I couldn't accompany them so much though. Had too many pictures to take with my lecturers and family and batch mates that I might have neglected them a little. ! sorry guys! Promised I would make it up to CV by helping her during her graduation. :)

I practiced how to smile when I received my graduation cert, but when I went up there, adrenaline was pumping so hard, I lost track on what's happening and these really genuine and glamorous smile came up (perasan)

Just 3 years ago, before I started 3rd year, we were in this exact same place attending KorKor's graduation. How time flies! I was fatter back then, approximately 7kg heavier. Had a weird liking for vintage prints and also way darker since that was the time I came back from my studies in India. And as you can see, our whole family lost weight. LOLS!

Love my mummy so much. She is literally my bestest friend in the entire world. Now shes getting older. Nags more, complain about almost everything, But, I still love her alot.!

Came home and took a '''family portrait'' together. Im quite sad actually. That the rest of my family members could not make it back home to attend my graduation. :( But yippie cause my second sister is getting married!!!! So, I would be postponing work until all the marriages are over and done with!

The next day,  my certificate from Malaysia Dental Council came through the post box!  wohooo! certified dentist now.

First year, my very first approved Pre clinical work. But I stole these cubes from Ratna, my senior. Hahaha.

Thats all about my graduation for now. I am too lazy to upload more pictures. So here's to random entering picture :)
